Dr Asenso-Gyambibi is the Director of CSIR-BRRI. He has over twenty-eight years’ experience in Research and Consultancy in survey and mapping in building infrastructure related to roads, mining, (tailings dams), power lines, water supply, hydrography, topographical mapping, layout preparations, land management and information systems, Geographic Information Systems(GIS) applications and construction management. He has performed various tasks for local companies and multinationals in the areas of his specialization. He has over 70 publications in refereed journals papers, conference papers and technical reports. He is a member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors and Ghana Institution of Engineering.

He was involved in World bank sponsored projects such as Ghana’s Land Administration System (LAP: 2000-2012), Road Sector Development Project (RSDP:2002-2005), Promoting Partnership with Traditional Authorities Project (PPTAP), Primary Education Rehabilitation Project (PERP).

As Director of CSIR-Building and Road Research Institute, the institute has significantly improved its Research and Development in infrastructure audit, quality assurance, carbon life cycle of building materials, marginalized materials for road infrastructure, application of smart technologies in survey and mapping for efficient and enhanced delivery, road safety and mining related activities.

 International collaborattions have increased in recent years to more than ten (10) to include United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), University of Finland, Volvo, Willows Technology (USA) and Vital Strategies (USA). The institute is assisting various agencies in Ghana to harmonize construction costs. These agencies include the Public Procurement Authority, Ghana Statistical Service and the Ghana Institution of Surveyors.
